Sara Louise Geer Rosemond, 77 of Greenville, South Carolina died in Jesus Christ on December 18, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Her son held her hand in their home in Bakersfield, California, as she departed this earthly life.

Born on May 4, 1948 in Anderson, South Carolina, Sara was the daughter of Willie D. Geer and Maggie Patterson Geer. Throughout her life, Sara was known for her faith, kindness, strength, generosity, honesty and devotion to family and friends.

Sara had a deep love for serving God and heeded to the commandments of the Lord. Her life touched many by the sacrifices she made to care for others who were unable to care for themselves. She provided loving care for family members, friends and strangers. Sara enjoyed spending time with family at the “Big House” in Anderson, South Carolina. There, family would gather to enjoy their favorite dishes and spend quality time together, sharing stories and reminiscing on the past. Sara was moved by gospel music and would read entire novels in just a few days. She volunteered in the church, relentlessly serving the people of the community in various capacities alongside her brothers and sisters for over forty years. Sara was stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.

Sara worked for the Christie Pediatric group for over twenty years, making friendships that lasted a lifetime. The women whom she worked beside, knew her as a sister and expressed their profound gratitude for the relationship they each had with her. Sara would often tell stories of little children, who in their teenage years, would remember her for the care she provided when they were younger. They would flag her down in her car, or stop her in the store just to say “hi!”, and love on her. Throughout trails and tribulations, Sara traveled throughout the world with loved ones, spoke truth out of love, laughed and cried with family and friends, delivered on her word, and remained faithful to the Lord. She was the epitome of perseverance and her strength in the Lord was an inspiration to all who knew her.

As Sara’s health began to decline, frequent visits, extended stays and every day phone calls with her son were never enough for either of them, however, Sara was not yet ready to make that move to California, until she was. And what a blessing that was for her, her son and her daughter-in-law. She had a good time traveling throughout various states, exploring new cities and eating at a variety of restaurants. She became a true foodie. She made new friendships in California that she absolutely cherished. The ladies and gentlemen at the senior center loved her dearly and she knew it. She enjoyed every moment she had with them. Extended family, friends and neighbors adored her, as she was so easy to love. She will truly be missed.

Sara Louise Rosemond is survived by her son, Harold Lee Rosemond Jr. and daughter-in-law, Stephanie C. Rosemond, Grandchildren, Eboni Rosemond, Shawntavious Washington, Devante Rosemond, Harold Javon Rosemond III, Nicholas Rosemond, Nacosi Rosemond, Deonte Cormier, a host of great grandchildren, cherished family and friends.
